The three images below are the ones I've chosen to showcase for my typography elements.

The first is from the cover, I really enjoy how they play between serif & sanserif. The horizontal rules play of of the thin lines of "Winter Escapes" and "Going Places" which gives a cozy feel in between them. The thickness of the serif font makes the article line up seem just has heavy as the title font. The thin pieces seem to also play off of the horizontal rules.

The second image is the spread of feature articles. I like how the layout has a playful "topsy turvy" feel to it. I feel like they managed to balance the body's of text with the images by using a black & white head shot for each piece. They type feels very clean and flows well. The pieces are also separated by the horizontal rules from before.

The table of contents is the exact opposite of the cover clip and I LOVE IT! Each element is balanced and takes it's own time to shine. The bold page numbers above the titles don't take away from them because you take them in as separate bites.
